Oblique

The Oblique Lamp is defined by a tilted cubic shade and a stainless-steel base. The shade is produced using recycled PETG through FDM 3D printing, optimized for support-free fabrication to reduce waste. Its layered surface diffuses light softly, while the curved metal base reflects it onto nearby surfaces.

The base is made from 1mm stainless steel, laser-cut, bent, and TIG welded to ensure durability and precision. Prototyping adjustments were made to account for material deformation during bending, resulting in accurate alignment between the two components.

The design combines digital fabrication with traditional metalworking, focusing on efficiency, sustainability, and structural clarity. Oblique Lamp functions as both a directional light source and a compact sculptural object.
